Since the emergence of its ideas in the language of its founders and theorists, criminal policy has been described as a way of formulating general strategic policies and principles for controlling and responding to crime in a measured manner, using special tools that are adapted to specific conditions. It has always undergone fundamental changes and developments under the influence of intellectual foundations and theories arising from them. One of the areas of public policy is criminal policy, which is structured in two important parts: proactive and reactive. Therefore, it is necessary to address the impact, challenges, and solutions of this area in relation to artificial intelligence. Therefore, this study uses a descriptive-analytical method to address the impact of artificial intelligence on the area of ​​criminal policy in Iran and has reached the following conclusions: Despite the weaknesses and challenges in this area, artificial intelligence can be used in the management of proactive criminal policy in the form of crime prediction and prevention, and in reactive criminal policy in the form of substantive and formal management, which has been discussed and examined in detail in this study. It has been concluded that in proactive, preventive, and reactive policy, in addition to the manifestations that exist in this field and at different levels, measures should be taken at the national level in the form of compiling an artificial intelligence criminal policy document and predicting the necessary equipment and tools.
