Today, technology forms the basis of industry, and all industrial advances and the resulting economic and commercial opportunities are owed to technology. Technology has legal implications for its consideration as a subject of contract and is an industrial concept in nature. In order for the transfer of technology to be legally protected and to have the necessary enforcement guarantee, it must take place in the form of a legal act, of which the contract is one of them. In the current conditions of the world, due to the expansion of various fields of technology and the complexity of its constituent elements, the process of technology transfer or exchange is inevitable and necessary, because no country can deprive itself of technology transfer without any amount of scientific, cultural and industrial growth. To know. In addition, developing countries will need to purchase technology from developed countries to implement industrial development policies. The mechanism of this purchase from recognition and selection to the final stages of development is called technology transfer. In Iran, the country's backwardness in the creation of modern technologies requires the need to transfer it from developed countries, and according to this need, the study of technology transfer contracts as a tool and legal cause of transfer is necessary, which will be examined in this article took.
