A review or investigation is a method in the light of which it is possible to review judicial judgments and make justice possible. The principle of permission to appeal in the legal systems of Iran and France is based on the fact that the initial verdict may not be correct for any reason, including the mistake of the judge of the first instance, and was issued against the right. Therefore, the convicted person should be given the right and opportunity to challenge the verdict and request that it be reconsidered by another competent judicial authority. This has been taken by the legislature to achieve justice and accuracy in the proceedings, so that the appeal or inquiry is a review of the decision of the court of first instance and in a way this method of appealing the decision imposes restrictions on the court of appeal and the litigants. Since appeals or researches in Iranian and French law have important effects and aspects and each of them is effective in better advancing justice, so in this article we will examine these cases.
