Abstract
The aim of the present study was to identify and prioritize factors affecting begging in Zahedan. The present study is a descriptive and field research, and this study can also be considered an applied research. The statistical population in this study is beggars in Zahedan, who are engaged in begging due to physical and economic problems. Sampling is carried out purposively and among beggars in Zahedan. The sample is usually a group of people in the community who are representative of that community and have more or less the characteristics of the people in the community. The sample size in each study can be calculated according to the researcher's facilities and the type of research. In this study, the statistical population includes two hundred and eighty beggars, and given that it was difficult to access all beggars due to the fact that their jobs were fake, eighty-four beggars who were willing to cooperate were included in the study. The research findings show that there is a positive and significant relationship between unhealthy physical condition, migration phenomenon, addiction, social values, and religiosity and begging in Zahedan. The positivity of the correlation coefficient indicates a direct relationship between unhealthy physical condition, migration phenomenon, addiction, social values, and religiosity and begging in Zahedan.
