Abstract
Contemporary judicial systems worldwide are grappling with challenges such as case backlogs procedural delays and limited human and financial resources. These issues undermine the efficiency of the criminal justice system and erode public trust. Amidst these challenges the use of emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence block chain and electronic case management systems offers a new horizon for digital transformation in criminal proceedings. This study, employing a descriptive-analytical approach and comparative analysis examines the potential, challenges, and opportunities of utilizing these technologies to enhance criminal justice. It also presents an integrated conceptual model for their synergy. The findings indicate that AI, with its capacity to analyze judicial big data and predict case outcomes, can significantly enhance the accuracy and speed of judicial decision-making. Block chain through immutable data recording and enhanced transparency, provides a secure platform to prevent the forgery or manipulation of judicial documents, thereby strengthening public trust in the justice system. In parallel, ECMS plays a crucial role in reducing procedural delays and improving transparency by digitizing and facilitating access to judicial documents. However, the full realization of digital justice requires overcoming legal, institutional, cultural, and infrastructural barriers. To this end, it is recommended that the implementation of these technologies be initiated in high-volume areas through a phased, pilot approach. Furthermore, new legal frameworks should be drafted to accommodate modern requirements, and continuous training for judges and judicial staff should be prioritized. This research, while outlining the potential and challenges of emerging technologies, provides practical and policy-oriented solutions for policymakers and legislators to pave the way toward a smart, transparent, and sustainable judicial system.
